Doritos 3D Crunch – Relaunched in a New Packaging Design

3d doritos release date

One of Frito-Lay’s most popular products of the late ’90s, Doritos 3D, has been making its way back to grocery shelves this week. In an effort to re-ignite the brand’s iconic three-dimensional shape and flavor, the company is launching Doritos 3D Crunch in two bold flavors: Spicy Ranch and Chili Cheese Nacho.

The new product is the latest in a series of flavor innovations that are keeping fans coming back for more. The newest release comes just in time for the holidays and the New Year.

This re-launch also marks the return of actor and Miss USA 1996 Ali Landry, who was featured in the original “Laundromat” Super Bowl commercial for Doritos 3D. She is also partnering with the company again for this new launch, helping promote the product through social media and TikTok.

OG Doritos 3D’s are relaunched in a new packaging design

In an effort to bring back the classic shape of its popular ’90s chips, Frito-Lay is releasing a new version of its famous 3D chips. The chips are now packaged in a different packaging design that removes the ridged texture and replaces it with a more flat, puffed appearance.

These snacks will come in 6-oz bags for a suggested retail price of $4.29 and 2-oz bags for $1.89, and they will be available nationwide on Monday, Dec. 28 at a variety of retailers.

New Doritos 3D Crunch will be available in the same bold flavors as the OG, but they’ll also come in a special Stranger Things-themed packaging, which will debut ahead of season four of Netflix’s hit show. The new Three Cheese, along with the brand’s other flavors and varieties, including Doritos 3D Crunch Spicy Ranch, Doritos 3D Crunch Chili Cheese Nacho, Doritos Nacho Cheese, and Doritos Cool Ranch will be available in limited-edition Stranger Things packaging at select retailers.

The OG Doritos 3D’s were released in 1998 to a lot of fanfare. They were phased out in the early 2000s, but fans from coast to coast have lobbied to bring them back to stores.

As an update to the original product, Doritos 3D’s are now available in a more modern packaging design that features a white background and a smaller logo than the old bags. In addition, the re-launched chips feature a bright yellow color that makes them stand out in the aisles.

If you’re looking for a fun and innovative snack to add to your arsenal, you might want to try these puffed tortilla chips from Mexico that are described as “Doritos meets Bugles.” They’re a bit pricier than regular Doritos, but they’re worth the investment for anyone who’s craving some flavor innovation in their chip routine.

Doritos 3D Crunch is available in a variety of stores across the country, so you’ll be able to find them near you. You can also purchase them online from sites like Amazon and Walmart.

In addition to the re-launch of the original, the company has introduced several other flavors to their lineup, including the Flamin’ Hot Cool Ranch and the Flamin’ Hot Queso Dinamitas that hit shelves last December. These new flavors are an effort to appeal to the spicy and sweet snack market, which is growing rapidly as millennials embrace their love of spicy foods.
