I can’t tell you how many buy a two disc version of a film and never watch the content (Extra material) on the second disc.Having a film Library is a responsibility. RULES FOR BLU-RAY AND DVD OWNERS 1.Wash Hands prior to placing your DVD in your player2.Try not to touch the shiny (playing side) with your fingers as oil from your fingers can cause disc malfunctions3.Hold discs by the edges when handling4.Discs are read by lasers the readable side should be clean and not scratched5. Do not store discs in a pile, this can cause scratches, Cases with sprockets are for protection of surface 6.remove discs CAREFULLY from sprockets DO NOT FORCE take your time7.If your player has a problem reading a disc, try the disc in different players do not assume it is the fault of the disc8.Store your discs in an environment that is not too hot nor cold. Extreme temperature is not good for the life of the disc9. Avoid storing in Moist places Basements can cause mildew or rot to discs10.DVDs has a lifespan of about 40+ years however they can deteriorate and pixilate taking care of them prolongs their lifespan
