Will the New Nintendo Wii Have a Face Plate?
When it comes to Nintendo’s new systems, the release date for the 3DS has a lot to do with what people want. The old Nintendo DS is already being discontinued, and many people are waiting to get the new systems in order to play all of the new games. If you are one of these people, then you are in luck! There have been some major changes with the way the system will be released, and it will surely change everything. The 3DS release date is now officially set for November 3rd.
The big change is that the standard screen on the 3DS will be changed to a metallic black color. This change will allow the system to better match the rest of the new system accessories that are coming out for this holiday season. One of these accessories is the new face plate that is being introduced. It will be a design that is more like that of the original 3ds, but it will be black instead of the traditional gray.
When the official 3DS release date was announced, there were a lot of rumors that came out about the possible design and color changes. Most of these rumors came from sources that are often right about the newest products that are coming out. They knew something was coming out, and they got the news early enough to make it worth listening to. Here is what they said about the face plates:
“The new designs will be available for purchase at a store near you. However, the exact color design for the 3DS XL and Classic Cards is still up in the air. We do know that the metallic black color for the face plates is exclusive to this release. Nintendo is also confirming that the new systems will work with the previously released amigo accessory.”
Now, this isn’t going to be easy. No matter how many rumors leak out, we’re still not sure if this is going to be true. Some people say that it’s a possibility, but it would be surprising because the Wii and New Nintendo Wii already have a black card slot that is very similar to the one found on the previous models. In fact, the Wii utilizes the same slots as the original 3ds.
If Nintendo truly has everything planned out correctly, it will be great to finally see these new features in a Nintendo console. I have a feeling that the metallic black color will be an option only for the North American release, but I wouldn’t hold my breath if I didn’t find out for myself. The card slot is a very big deal, and this could be the major selling point for this system. It’s the feature that most 3ds owners are looking for. It allows you to easily insert and remove cards like you have been used to with your previous 3ds models. I can only hope that this goes beyond what we’ve seen so far, and we’ll soon see some cool features that haven’t made it to the public yet.
